  6. Some   people  in  Denmark  are out for rewards    SAPU  (the  Danish  software
  7. police)    has  promised people who turn in software  pirates! So far every one
  8. of them have  been concentrating on the abo sellers but some people  seem to be
  9. willing  to  turn in swappers in order to get their  hands on some cash!
  10.      How   comes   I know that?  Very simple, a guy  simply sent me a letter
  11. where  he  wanted   to buy an abo.  I've reproduced his  letter  in both Danish
  12. and English. The Danish  version is an EXACT  version of the  letter  (includes
  13. grammar,  spelling,   use of upper case etc.).   I've  tried   to translate the
  14. letter to English even  though it was a little  hard  getting  that formal tone
  15. of  the  letter.  I decided  however to delete      some     parts    of    his
  16. phonenumbers/address since  I'd rather not  go  to   court  for  first  of  all
  17. accusing  this   guy  for  being  a guy turning    people    in,  so  everybody
  18. terrorises  the guy  and then next give everybody his address and phn-number.

  34. koebe et maanedsabonnement til AMIGA'en, og vil derfor gerne hoere din
  35. pris for en maaned - hvis du da saelger eller kender en der goer.

  38. EDB-Systemer, og har idag baade AMIGA og PC (IBM-Kompatibel). Jeg
  39. overvejer meget kraftigt at erhverve mig et 9600 / 14400 baud modem, og
  40. er derfor ogsaa meget interesseret i en pris, hvor vi gaar ud fra
  41. leverancer pr. modem.

  44. MEGET interesseret i det nyeste software til PC'ere. Saa hvis du kan
  45. tilbyde de nyeste pirat-versioner - eller muligvis kender en der kan -
  46. hoerer jeg meget gerne naermere fra dig.

  76. I am representing a couple of AMIGA-Freaks in Vejle and the vicinity
  77. thereof. We have lately become very interested in the newest for the
  78. AMIGA and when I saw your advertisemnt in Crackers Journal I decided to
  79. direct me to you. I am in a short interested in knowing your price for a
  80. monthly subscription for the AMIGA - if you are selling or know somebody
  81. who does.

  83. I am a youngster of 19 years who has been working with different EDP
  84. Systems for 8 years now and I have today both AMIGA and PC (IBM
  85. Compatible). I am seriously considering to purchase a 9600 / 14400 baud
  86. modem and I am therefore also very interested in a price where we assume
  87. supply by modem.

  90. also VERY interested in the newest software for the PCs. So if you can

  111. What  a  nice little letter.   Just the tone  of  this  letter makes  my little
  112. 'software police bell' ring like hell. I've NEVER  received a letter like  that
  113. from  a   19 years old boy.  And I have NEVER   had  an  add in Cracker Journal
  114. (and NOT  Crackers Journal as he spells it!).    And  if  he  wants  the latest
  115. wares  why   doesn't  he contact one of these   big   abo   selling  groups  in
  116. Germany???   I  really can't see why  he thinks  I  sell abos, since I've never
  117. sold  abos  and  I  mainly  swap demos. The  next weird thing in  his letter is
  118. the  fact  that he  wants to purchase a modem.   Why   the  hell  should  a guy
  119. concidering  buying  a modem get an abo when  he  can  download  hot  wares  24
  120. hours  a  day  with  a  modem? And why does  he  use the term 'pirate software'
  121. instead  of  games?  It really seems  as if he badly  wants to get his hands on
  122. a    software   pirate.     Infact  he encourages   me to  give another the guy
  123. the  opportunity to sell  him an abo if I won't do it!
  124.      As  you  may  have noticed the little  traitor  has a fax too?  Or has
  125. he?    I  checked  the  fax number and found  out that  this number belonged to
  126. a  carpenter  named   Albert   Lillelund (probably his father).  So he probably
  127. gave  me the  number just to impress me and look like some  kind of a pro.
  128.     Guys   like   this  one   really pisses  me  off.   Small,  ugly   kids
  129. trying  to  fool scene  guys into traps and then turn them  over to SAPU to get
  130. some  money.    I  have  purposely  NOT publiced  his  address  this time but I
  131. will do so if I  find out that this son of  a  bitch  tries this trick on other
  132. Danes  too.    So  if  any of you Danes have  received a letter like this don't
  133. hesitate  to  tell  me  so.    If  this bounty  hunter  wants to play the games
  134. then  we'll  show him the rules of that game!

  137. Just  how   ridiculous  SAPU can be:  I think  most   Europeans know the Danish
  138. software  police   by  name  now.   They call   themselves   SAPU  (in  Danish:
  139. Sammenslutningen   af     Amiga  Program Udbydere.  In English that's something
  140. like  :   Association of Amiga Software Mongers).   But   at  the beginning the
  141. lamers  called   themselves SAP but the dumbasses   didn't    know   that  this
  142. abbrivation  was   already  used  by  an extreme left wing party (SAP in Danish
  143. means  Socialistisk Arbejder  Parti, in English    that's     something    like
  144. Socialistic Worker Party).   So now the jerks  had to change their name to SAPU
  145. which   most  of all reminds me of some kind  of   Nazi group!  The responsible
  146. Danish  firms  behind this organisation are  Supersoft,  Silverrock Prods.  and
  147. Amiga  Warehouse,   so now you know who to boycutt!
